SpiceJet has announced a significant expansion of its domestic network ahead of Chhath Puja and Diwali, launching special festive flights to strengthen connectivity to Bihar. The airline has introduced new flights to Patna from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, alongside additional frequencies from Delhi and Mumbai. Connectivity to Darbhanga has also been boosted with extra services from Delhi and Mumbai.
These new routes add to SpiceJet’s existing services to Patna from Delhi, Mumbai and Guwahati, and to Darbhanga from Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi. The flights began operating in a phased manner from 10 October 2025, catering to the surge in festive travel demand and offering passengers greater flexibility when travelling home for the celebrations.
Earlier this month, the airline also introduced special daily non-stop Diwali flights connecting Ayodhya with Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, providing devotees and visitors easy access to the Shri Ram Temple during the festive season.
Commenting on the announcement, Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer, SpiceJet, said, “The festive season holds immense significance for millions of our passengers, and we are delighted to make travel home for Chhath Puja and Diwali more convenient and accessible. With enhanced connectivity to Patna, Darbhanga and Ayodhya, SpiceJet continues to play a key role in bringing people closer to their loved ones for celebrations that matter most.” The expansion reinforces SpiceJet’s commitment to meeting India’s evolving travel demand, especially during high-traffic festive periods, by ensuring affordable, direct and seamless connections across key regional hubs.
