Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (PV) has achieved a remarkable feat this festive season, delivering over 1 lakh passenger vehicles between Navratri and Diwali 2025. This marks an impressive 33% year-on-year growth, underscoring the automaker’s strong retail performance and continued dominance in India’s thriving automotive market.

SUV Lineup Powers Tata’s Market Leadership
The growth was primarily driven by soaring demand for Tata Motors’ SUV portfolio, particularly the Nexon and Punch, both of which remain customer favorites. The Tata Nexon led the charge with over 38,000 units retailed, registering a spectacular 73% YoY growth, while the Punch followed closely with 32,000 units sold, reflecting 29% YoY growth.
These figures highlight the growing consumer preference for Tata’s bold design, advanced safety standards, and robust build quality—key differentiators that have helped the brand consolidate its leadership in the SUV segment.
Electric Vehicle Sales Surge 37%
Adding to the festive success story, Tata Motors also reached a new milestone in its electric vehicle (EV) journey, retailing over 10,000 EVs during the Navratri-to-Diwali period. This represents a 37% increase from last year and further strengthens Tata’s position as the leader in India’s EV revolution.
The strong EV performance showcases both rising consumer confidence in electric mobility and Tata Motors’ ability to meet evolving market needs through innovation and sustainability-focused engineering.
A Confident Outlook Ahead
Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, expressed optimism about maintaining this growth momentum through the rest of the fiscal year. With a well-balanced portfolio across internal combustion (ICE) and electric vehicles, Tata Motors is well-positioned to capitalize on India’s expanding demand for sustainable and high-performance vehicles.
The company’s record-breaking festive season performance reaffirms its commitment to innovation, safety, and the future of green mobility.
