Adobe FireFly – Free AI Image Generator
As a content creator and a tech reviewer, AI tools have become a very useful addition to my workflow, from researching to fixing mistakes in the content I write.
Another such tool I most frequently use is an AI text-to-image generator, which lets me add AI-generated images to my content to make it more appealing. The best part is you don’t need to subscribe to any image subscription tools like Shutterstock; you can simply enter the prompt, and AI will generate the image in the way you want, and everything for free.
There are plenty of AI image generator tools available; Adobe Firefly is one such option. Similar to other tools, you can instantly generate AI images using a simple text prompt, and since it is from Adobe, it also lets you customize your output with different controls to get different image styles.
It is also a great option for content creators; AI-generated images using Adobe Firefly are free from copyright, which you can use on any commercial projects, making it a great option for blogs or even videos. To use Adobe Firefly, you can simply sign up if you don’t have an account, go to the tool, and enter the prompt to start creating an image.
Google’s Notebook LLM – Organize Your Docs and Create a Knowledge Hub
Another tool I recommend for everyone, especially for students, is Google’s Notebook LLM. More than an AI chatbot, you can use it as a centralised knowledge hub to manage all your documents, content, and everything in place and use AI to quickly recall it.
Ever since I started using Notebook LLM, it has been a game-changer for me, and it has simplified my messy document management skills. Not just that, you can also organize all your content into topics and keep it isolated from the rest.
Likewise, you can create multiple projects and access all documentation related to projects in a single place. For students, it is a must-have tool; not only can you get detailed summaries of the documents, but you can also create a mind map to quickly recall the topics you want to learn, get audio overviews, and even convert them into a video overview for your presentations.
The best part is that it is free to use for most and also available as a standalone app for Android and iPhone.
Bitwarden – Free Password Manager Tool
Passwords are still the default login option for many tools and websites, and to protect them using strong passwords is often recommended to keep them secure; however, remembering those hard and lengthy Passwords is impossible.
So to avoid this, using a password manager is often the recommended method to help you easily save and manage all your passwords in a secure vault, not just that, some password manager also allows you to generate passwords and also autofill with a single click to reduce the hassle of entering long passwords.
There are plenty of password managers available in the market right now. After testing a few and even using the premium version of Dashlane, I finally settled on Bitwarden, a free password manager that works like a charm.
The biggest USP of Bitwarden is that it is free to use and also doesn’t limit the passwords you store, and syncs your data across multiple devices without any limitations.
And it is even open source, which is more secure and transparent than any other password managers. Although there are some issues when autofilling, however, since my review, it has greatly improved.
Website Paywall Removed – Remove Paywalls for Any Website
If you often read articles from different sites, you might have experienced paywall-locked content where you need to subscribe to the website to unblock the content. Paywalls have become increasingly common as they help websites to survive the subscription money; however, a few websites and even more aggressive locking of content on the website, which makes it hard for the user to read the content without any free options, or if you are a student, just want content for research.
This is where the paywall unblocker extension can come in handy. Unlike the other paywall removers, this extension works without leaving the webpage; it can directly remove the paywalled content without redirections to the external page, which makes it one of the best options if reading content from multiple websites.
Quetta Browser – Best Browser With Extension Support
Quetta browser has become my go-to option lately because of its powerful extension support. The minimal user interface makes it easy to use, and by default, it blocks all the ads for a smooth browser experience. Also, there is a useful download management tool to help you download videos directly from the browser without using any third-party apps.
And finally, the biggest highlights of the app are the extension support, which lets you install hundreds of free browser extensions from the Chrome Website to enhance your browser capabilities, and also lets you import and manually add extensions. You can try Quetta for yourself, and it can even replace your primary browser. It is free to use for now and available for both Android and iPhone.
Temp Mail – Sign Up for an Unknown Website Using This Temp Mail
Most websites today require you to create an account or require you to give your email to use their services. However, the majority of them use your email to send unwanted notifications and even leak them to the public, further bringing marketing flood materials to your inbox.
Fortunately, you don’t need to submit your real email every time you visit a specific site; you can get a temp email from a temp email site and use it to create an account. This way, you are not only avoiding the spam but also protecting your email address from exposure to spam and the public to avoid further issues. There are plenty of websites that offer a temporary email server. Here are some of our favourites and why.
KDE Connect – Sync Clipboard Content Between Your Mac and Android Smartphone
KDE Connect is a game-changer for me. I have switched to the Apple ecosystem system few years ago and the biggest advantage of that you clipboard content sync across your devices, you can copy the text on your iPhone and paste it directly on the Mac, this convenience also becomes biggest hassle if you are outside and Apple ecosystem or trying to fit other devices into the ecosystem, for instance if you use Mac and Android you are left without all the useful features you get with the iPhone, fortunately not until I discovered KDE connect.
It lets you easily sync clipboard content between your Android and Mac, and also lets you easily share files. However, the app is having issues with the latest macOS 26 update. It still works with default settings. I have a dedicated guide on how to set up and use KDE Connect on your Mac and Android smartphone. If it doesn’t work, you can set up ClipCascade, another best alternative tool to sync clipboard content across your devices.
Convertx – Local File Converter for More Privacy and Faster File Conversions
If you often convert files into different formats, using an online tool is the easiest way, but to convert files using online tools, first you need to upload the file to the server, which many websites claim to delete in a few hours. And also if it’s a large file, it can take a significant amount of your time to upload, convert and download the files.
This is where a free open source can come into handy; it can run locally on your device and support 1000-plus file conversions, and the best part is your data is secure. It’s called Convertx; you can simply reply to it and use it on your device.
Perplexity AI Browser – Finish Most Common Web Task Using This Agent
AI browsers are the next big thing on the internet, and now almost every browser has AI built into it; however, what truly makes it useful is the support for Agentic capabilities and one such browser Comet browser by Perplexity. It runs on Google Chromium, which offers a very familiar interface to Google Chrome, so you won’t miss anything if you switch. Next, it is private by default and blocks all the ads, and finally, it has a useful AI assistant that does tasks for you instead of just answering your questions.
I have been using Comet to apply jobs, read all emails, fill dummy data for my client projects and more. Not just that, it can be even more useful for everyday users, such as summarising the web pages, YouTube videos, and even taking actions on behalf of any third-party apps. For instance, I use Comet to manage to-do list tasks on my Notion and more. The use cases are endless since, with a simple prompt, you can perform most of the actions. Comet is now available to all Perplexity Pro subscribers in India, and more are coming soon.
Final Thoughts
Those are the list of the best tools I use every day. Most of them are free to use and available on both Android and iPhone. You can install them for free and make your life easier. You can also replace some of your default apps with these tools. I hope you find this guide helpful.
