President Donald Trump continued his criticism of Canada on Friday (October 24, 2025) over an advertisement that featured Republican icon Ronald Reagan extolling the virtue of free trade, accusing the country of trying to influence the U.S. Supreme Court.
“Canada is trying to illegally influence the United States Supreme Court in one of the most important rulings in the history of our Country,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
The U.S. High Court set a date of November 5 for arguments it will hear concerning the legality of Mr. Trump’s sweeping global tariffs.
