Author Clifford J Mikkelson has come up with his new novel, which is titled as “The Krishna Kid in North Korea” – this is part of the series: Adventures of the Krishna Kid.
This book is the first book in the series of book about a new kind of superhero who uses nonviolent and nondualistic methods to achieve his goals. The adventure genre is always popular but there is a key that has to work right for you, which is to get all the components in just the right mix to produce a story that is as riveting as the classics.
From J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books to J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy novel trilogy Lord of the Rings, many of the most popular books in the adventure genre follow a similar formula: the hero’s journey, which was first identified by author and literary professor, Joseph Campbell, is the probably the most popular structure for an adventure novel. But this book is much different. I haven’t read a adventure story before which uses non-violence. That tells you that this book is special.
Moreover the characters, especially the protagonist is relatable and likeable, so as a reader you feel like rooting for the young superhero. The 18 year old Krishna Das can be a lovable boy next door but he has an himalayan task to complete. How he does that is interesting and you have to read the book to know his adventure journey. Clifford has done a great justice to the story with the narration. Overall this book is a must read for all!
