Etihad Airways has reported a 21 per cent increase in passenger traffic for September 2025, carrying 1.9 million travellers across its global network. The growth highlights sustained demand and operational strength as the carrier closed out the summer season.

The airline achieved an average passenger load factor of 89 per cent for the month, up one percentage point compared with September 2024, underscoring efficient deployment of its expanding fleet and capacity.

In the first nine months of 2025, Etihad carried a total of 16.1 million passengers, reflecting an 18 per cent rise compared to the same period last year. The airline’s operating fleet reached 115 aircraft by the end of September, serving 82 passenger destinations worldwide.

Commenting on the results, Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said: “September delivered another strong month for Etihad, with demand remaining high as we entered the post-summer period. Year-on-year growth continues across all key metrics, reflecting the strength of our network and Abu Dhabi’s growing position as a global destination.”

He added: “We’re expanding with discipline, keeping our load factors high and operations reliable. These results show clear momentum and focused execution — exactly what we set out to achieve in 2025.”

Etihad’s steady growth aligns with its broader strategy to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global aviation hub. With consistent passenger growth, network expansion, and an emphasis on operational reliability, the airline continues to demonstrate resilience and strategic execution in an evolving travel landscape.
