Maharashtra ATS arrested 28-year-old Zuber Hangargikar after multiple raids in Pune. He has been sent to police custody till November 4.

The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Maharashtra on Monday conducted several raids in Pune. In the operation, ATS arrested 28-year-old Zuber Hangargikar. The operation was conducted in the Kondhwa area. The action has been taken against individuals suspected of assisting terrorist activities.

Hangargikar has been sent to police custody till November 4.

The ATS had conducted searches of multiple premises on October 9 in a terror-related case in Pune. The search operation had resulted in the seizure of multiple electronic devices, documents, and literature.

Based on the incriminating material uncovered during the course of the investigation, an FIR has been registered under the relevant provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, as amended in 2008.

Pursuant to the registration of the FIR, the ATS arrested Zuber Hangargikar. Further investigation in the case is underway by the ATS Maharashtra.
