Singapore Airlines Launches Luxurious First Class SilverKris Lounge at Changi Airport, ETTravelWorld

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has officially unveiled its new First Class SilverKris Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2, completing the first phase of its two-year, SD45 million lounge renewal project.

Located near Departure Gate E on Level 3, the 1,050-square-metre lounge is 11 per cent larger than its predecessor and accommodates up to 130 guests. Access is reserved for Suites and First Class passengers, Solitaire PPS Club members, and First Class travellers on Star Alliance member airlines.

Designed by Ong & Ong, the refreshed lounge maintains the design continuity of SIA’s flagship SilverKris lounges across Terminals 2 and 3, while introducing distinct touches such as floor-to-ceiling windows, a newly designed Signature Bar, and a striking LASVIT chandelier installation inspired by the night sky.

The lounge is divided into zones for dining, work, and relaxation, each enhanced with signature features like SIA’s wingback chairs, productivity pods, and bespoke furniture. Accessibility features include step-free pathways, Braille signage, and hearing loop systems.

Guests are welcomed by a 20-metre batik wall crafted from 97 laser-cut plexiglass flowers with gold accents, complemented by SIA’s Batik Flora fragrance and the Sound of Singapore Airlines audio signature—creating an immersive, multi-sensory welcome experience.

At the heart of the space lies the Signature Bar, seating 12 guests and serving freshly brewed coffee, handcrafted cocktails, and a curated selection of wines and spirits. The high ceilings and natural light infuse the lounge with a sense of openness and sophistication, further elevated by the twin chandeliers composed of 128 hand-blown glass stars.

The dining experience blends familiar favourites like the SilverKris Signature Laksa with new à la minute dishes prepared at live cooking stations. Seasonal specials include Herb-roasted Chicken Cacciatore and Ondeh Ondeh Cake, paired with beverages such as the Singapore Sling and wellness-inspired Root Recovery juice blend.

Additional amenities include four en-suite shower suites featuring Lalique toiletries, a children’s playroom with a PlayStation 5, and semi-private resting pods fitted with Poltrona Frau reclining armchairs for pre-flight rest.

With this opening, Singapore Airlines continues to strengthen its global reputation for luxury travel, combining innovation, design, and hospitality to redefine the airport lounge experience.
