The Mumbai racing season 2025–26 will commence at the Mahalaxmi racecourse on November 27, 2025, and conclude on April 12, 2026.
The season will feature 26 race days, including 12 evening race days, with advertised prize money of around ₹26 crore (including trophies). The amount does not include the stakes for races scheduled during the Indian Racing Carnival Weekend (April 4 & 5, 2026).
The Indian Derby weekend will be held on Saturday, January 31, and Sunday, February 1, 2026 with Cyrus and Adar Poonawalla being the sponsor for the blue riband event to be run as the Villoo C. Poonawalla Indian Derby (Gr.1).
The programme and sponsorship for the fourth edition of the Indian Racing Carnival will be announced in due course.
Around 700 horses, including 276 two-year-olds, along with 31 trainers and 45 jockeys would be stationed at the racecourse for the season.
