Air India has announced that it will increase the frequency of its non-stop Delhi–Tokyo Haneda service from four times a week to daily flights, starting June 15, 2025. The decision marks a significant expansion in the airline’s international network and is aimed at meeting rising demand for travel between India and Japan.
The flights will be operated using Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, which offers a blend of comfort and efficiency. The move follows the airline’s recent transition from Tokyo Narita to Tokyo Haneda Airport in March, a shift that now allows quicker access to central Tokyo—just 18 kilometres away and roughly 30 minutes by road or train.
“Expanding our Delhi-Tokyo Haneda service to daily flights reflects Air India’s commitment to meeting the rising demand for travel between India and Japan,” said Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India. “This daily service, combined with our deepened codeshare partnership with All Nippon Airways, makes it easier for our guests to explore Japan and connect conveniently to other destinations in the country beyond Tokyo.”
The daily flights will provide passengers not only better access to Tokyo but also onward connectivity to six major Japanese cities—Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Nagoya, Okinawa, Osaka, and Sapporo—through Air India’s expanded codeshare agreement with All Nippon Airways (ANA), a fellow Star Alliance member.
Additionally, the enhanced frequency will enable smooth domestic connections within India to cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Pune, and international routes across Asia and Europe.
Effective June 15, the updated flight schedule is as follows:
AI358: Departs Delhi (DEL) at 20:20 hrs, arrives Tokyo Haneda (HND) at 07:55 hrs next day
AI357: Departs Tokyo Haneda (HND) at 11:50 hrs, arrives Delhi (DEL) at 17:25 hrs
