Harsabardhan and Jyoshna claim medals at World youth and junior weightlifting championships

Harsabardhan Sahu (youth men’s 49kg) and Jyoshna Sabar (youth women’s 40kg), both hailing from Odisha, claimed overall bronze medals on the opening day of the World youth and junior weightlifting championships in Lima, Peru.

In individual segments, Sahu collected two more bronze medals for his efforts of 87kg in snatch and 110kg in clean and jerk. He totalled 197kg.

Jyoshna lifted 56kg in snatch and 72kg in clean and jerk for an aggregate of 128kg. Her clean and jerk mark also earned her a silver.
