In a big win for India’s clean mobility movement, BizDateUp has facilitated a ₹100 crore strategic partnership between BattRE Electric Mobility, EV91, and evpe. The mission? Deploy 10,000 electric scooters across India for last-mile logistics, starting in Q2 2025.
The deal is one of the largest of its kind and underscores the growing shift toward sustainable transportation.
📈 EV Sales Surge Sets the Stage
According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, India’s EV sales soared to 1.95 million units in 2024—up from 1.53 million in 2023. Of this, electric two-wheelers accounted for 1.15 million units, driven by favorable policies and growing adoption in Tier II and Tier III cities.
The new partnership is perfectly timed to tap into this booming market.
🤝 Three Players, One Vision
Here’s how the partnership breaks down:
- BattRE will manufacture high-performance electric scooters built specifically for logistics and delivery.
- EV91 will manage the fleet and deployment, building green delivery infrastructure in cities and small towns.
- evpe will offer flexible financing options to make EV ownership easy for gig workers and businesses.
Jeet Chandan, Founder of BizDateUp, said, “This isn’t just a deal—it’s a statement about how ecosystem collaboration can drive real change.”
🌱 Green Jobs + Clean Miles
The initiative will create over 10,000 green jobs and is expected to cut 25,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year. The impact goes beyond mobility—supporting livelihoods, environmental goals, and EV financing accessibility.
Leaders from all three companies emphasized that the partnership breaks down critical barriers in EV adoption, especially in underserved markets.
