BSNL Partners With Private IT Firm To Expand 5G In Tamil Nadu – Trak.in

In order to expand 5G Internet Leased Line (ILL) services in Tamil Nadu, the state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has empanelled Hyderabad-based Blue Cloud Softech Solutions (BCSSL) as a 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA). Notably, similar rollout was done by BSNL with BCSSL for expanding the high-speed enterprise connectivity in the Andhra Pradesh Circle.

BSNL Joins Hands with BCSSL to Power 5G ILL Expansion in Tamil Nadu in Revenue Sharing Model

Post these developments, the shares of the home-grown IT company are cynosure. BCSSL, under this empanelment, will be responsible for setting up and maintaining Internet Leased Line services over 5G networks (5G FWA) for enterprises and other organisations in collaboration with BSNL. This partnership will be valid for 5 years, which can be extended further.

Under the agreement, BCSSL will handle the design, supply, deployment, and maintenance of 5G network components which would include the RAN, Edge Core, radio access gear, and customer equipment. The company will also oversee installation and commissioning while promoting 5G FWA services to enterprise clients.

On the other hand, BSNL, for its part, will provide the infrastructure backbone for the project — including space, power, backhaul connectivity, and access to its spectrum and Internet Leased Line (ILL) bandwidth. Notably, the services will be marketed under the BSNL brand and they shall only be handling the billing as well as customer payments.

Of the total revenue share, BCSSL will receive 70%, while BSNL will retain 30%. Notably, the exact ratio to be finalized based on business volume.

BSCCL Shares Open Higher Amid Market Slump, Touch ₹31.67 Before Settling at ₹29.96

BSNL’s stock opened higher at ₹30.75 on the BSE, as compared with the previous close of ₹29.98. This came even as Sensex and Nifty slipped in early trade, dragged down by Bajaj Finance and foreign fund outflows.

Later, the stock rose to ₹31.67 before easing to ₹29.96, giving the company a market value of ₹1,307.10 crores. Over the past year, it has ranged between a high of ₹79.95 and a low of ₹14.95.

Summary
BSNL has partnered with Hyderabad-based Blue Cloud Softech Solutions (BCSSL) to expand 5G Internet Leased Line services in Tamil Nadu, following a similar rollout in Andhra Pradesh. Under a five-year revenue-sharing agreement, BCSSL will handle 5G network setup and maintenance, while BSNL provides infrastructure. BCSSL’s shares gained attention, opening higher amid broader market declines.
