In a major boost to India’s AI ecosystem, Jio has expanded its Jio Gemini Pro Plan to include Google’s newly launched Gemini 3 AI model, offering it free for 18 months to all customers on Jio Unlimited 5G plans. Valued at ₹35,100, the plan was earlier limited to youth users, but now every eligible 5G subscriber can claim it directly through the MyJio app.

What Gemini 3 Brings to the Table
Google calls Gemini 3 its “most intelligent model ever,” designed with advanced reasoning, deeper context understanding, and the ability to interpret nuanced user requests with minimal prompting.
According to Google:

- It performs high-level contextual reasoning
- It reduces the need for detailed prompts
Gemini 3 will appear day-one in Google Search’s AI Mode, bringing more dynamic and complex reasoning capabilities. It is also rolling out across the Gemini app, AI Studio, Vertex AI, and Google’s new agentic development platform, Antigravity.

Jio’s latest move arrives at a time when Indian telecom operators are aggressively embedding generative AI into their offerings to attract subscribers, improve customer experience, and build new monetisation models.
By bundling a premium AI plan for free, Jio aims to:
