Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath underscored that the state’s IT and ITES ecosystem must run on clarity, speed, and transparency—without excuses. He asserted that investors who qualify for incentives should never be left waiting, and directed the department to enforce strict accountability to ensure every approval is processed swiftly and seamlessly.

Uttar Pradesh Accelerates IT & Electronics Growth with Major Investment Push
It was revealed during a review meeting of the state Information Technology and Electronics Department that under the Electronics Manufacturing Policy-2020, the state has received 67 investment proposals valued at Rs 15,477 crore. These investments have the potential to create 1,48,710 jobs. So far, incentives amounting to Rs 430 crore have been approved.
The CM stressed that it is a government priority to integrate youth into a technology-driven economy and urged the development of innovative training models and increased collaboration with companies to boost youth participation in IT and ITES sectors. He stated that “Uttar Pradesh has steadily advanced in start-ups, semiconductors, data centres, and electronics manufacturing”.
In order to support future investments, the CM directed the officials to establish new land banks in Noida, Greater Noida, and YEIDA areas. Notably, under the Data Centre Policy, companies like Hiranandani Group, NTT Global, Web Werks, Adani Enterprises, and ST Telemedia have proposed investments worth Rs 21,342 crore. These are expected to generate approximately 10,000 jobs.
UP’s IT & Electronics Exports Surge as Startup Support Sees Major Boost
Speaking about the electronics and IT exports, CM mentioned that the number has grown from Rs 3,862 crore and Rs 55,711 crore in 2017–18 to Rs 44,744 crore and Rs 82,055 crore in 2024–25. These staggering number bolster the progressive nature of these sectors within the state.
There has also been notable progress in the Startup Policy. The allocation that was Rs 274 lakh in 2021-22, has now increased to Rs 2,600 lakh by January 2025. CM directed officials to ensure that this policy and allocation are effectively monitored and utilized.
The department reported that an additional 25 proposals are anticipated to be cleared by March 2026. Adityanath’s focus on simplifying processes aims to position Uttar Pradesh at the forefront of global competition in technology-related fields.
