Western Railway has announced the extension of 15 weekly special train services until December 2025 to meet the growing travel demand, especially during festive seasons. The decision ensures smooth connectivity and hassle-free travel for passengers during peak periods. Ticket bookings for these extended services are available from 28th August 2025 via PRS counters and the IRCTC website.
Key Train Extensions
Among the major routes, the Mumbai Central–Kathgodam special (Train No. 09075) will continue till 31st December 2025, with its return journey (09076) extended until 1st January 2026. Similarly, the Mumbai Central–Kanpur Anwarganj special (09185/09186) and the Bandra Terminus–Barhni special (09043/09044) will also operate till the end of December 2025.
The Bandra Terminus–Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi superfast special (02200) is now scheduled to run until 27th December 2025, offering passengers extended travel convenience.
Additional Routes Extended
Other important extensions include:
- Udhna–Subedarganj (04155/04156) till end-December 2025.
- Valsad–Danapur (09025/09026) continuing till late December 2025.
- Valsad–Khatipura (09007/09008) extended till October 2025.
- Udhna–Khurda Road (09059/09060) running till 31st December 2025, with return till 2nd January 2026.
- Udhna–Dhanbad (09039/09040) continuing till December 2025.

This move is aimed at easing festive rushes and ensuring reliable connectivity between major cities and towns. By extending these services, Western Railway is giving passengers ample options for planning their journeys well in advance.
