Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja have been making headlines recently, following reports of a potential divorce. After nearly four decades of marriage, the couple’s relationship has faced numerous challenges, including infidelity allegations. Sunita, in a candid conversation, spoke openly about the struggles they have faced, which stirred up public discussions. However, Govinda, in a recent appearance on Prime Video’s “Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle” alongside actor Chunky Panday, responded to the media buzz and shared his perspective on his marriage.

Govinda On His Relationship
On the show, Govinda took the opportunity to clarify his stance on the rumors of separation and infidelity. Speaking to hosts Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, he affectionately referred to his wife as a child. He stated, “She’s a child herself. My children treat my wife like she’s a child. Sunita is like a child, but with the responsibilities she’s given, she’s been able to manage our home. She’s who she is, an honest child. She’s never wrong, but she just says things she shouldn’t. The problem with men is that they can’t think that way.”

Govinda explained that while Sunita might express herself in ways that might not always be appropriate, he respects her for her role in managing their family and home. His words reflected a sense of understanding and patience, showing that despite the challenges they’ve faced, he sees Sunita as someone who has always stood by him.

Govinda also opened up about forgiveness, acknowledging that both he and Sunita had made mistakes over the years. He admitted, “She herself has made many mistakes… I have forgiven her and the entire family many times. I think sometimes we become too dependent on them. Especially if your mother isn’t there, you become too dependent on your wife. And as time goes on, she starts scolding you like a mother, and also explaining things like a mother.”
