Television actress Jannat Zubair has taken a firm stand against body-shaming after fellow contestant Ashnoor Kaur was targeted within the house of Bigg Boss 19. The reaction came after a clip from the show went viral, showing housemates including Tanya Mittal, Kunickaa Sadanand and Neelam Giri making derogatory remarks about Ashnoor’s physique—sparking outrage both online and among Ashnoor’s peers in the industry. Jannat’s outspoken support adds a high-profile voice to the mounting criticism surrounding the show’s environment.
It all began when a live feed from the Bigg Boss 19 house showed Ashnoor standing alongside co-contestant Pranit More, during which Tanya asked Neelam, “Jurassic Park dekhoge?” while pointing at Ashnoor; Kunickaa was seen laughing at the comment. Subsequent remarks by the trio about Ashnoor’s gym efforts and body shape caused widespread backlash. The clip quickly spread across social platforms, leading to numerous calls for accountability.
Reacting to the public uproar, Jannat posted her support for Ashnoor on Instagram. She wrote:
“A person’s body is not public property for jokes and opinions. It’s 2025. We should’ve evolved past body-shaming by now.
