I know, loving plants is kind of a trend going on but I am a plant lover since childhood. As a child, I always saw my father gardening every alternate day and every Sunday morning he use to spending pruning plants, sowing seeds and making bonsai. SO automatically it translated to me.
My mom and I are at a point where our backyard is looking more like a nursery. every year we prepare a winter garden and so we went to our trust Sunder nursery, a place where we have been going for years for some plant shopping. I thought I would take you guys along as well.
Sunder Nursery is another place that is quite a trend these days. Thanks to its gorgeous grass lawns and purity, people are obsessed with it. It’s bittersweet because now it’s now it’s not as relaxing as it uses to be.
But the nursery is still amazing.
If you already are not aware then I will like to inform that its a government-owned nursery which means great quality plants of all every kind, size and form at the cheapest price possible.
I have been going to this place for plants and manures for years and generally, the quality of all the products is just mindblowing. This time due to covid, the variety was limited to the little plants of flowers and veggies. A lot of regulars were not there but still, something is better than nothing.
We always get the smallest little phaud so that we can get the best deal and buy a lot of quantity.
As usual, we decided to start from veggies like tomato, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce and onions. Moved on to so many kinds of flowers and later went to ornamental plant section. Cost of phaud ranges from 1-3INR
Greens or ornamental plants as they like to call it are all-season plants that do not flower or product fruit but look goo. All your plants like monsters, money plant, aglaonema and ferns come in this category.
Post covid, this section looked very sad and dead but we scored basil, amla, ajwain and some other greens like son-of-India, aero head lant and more. Cost ranges from 40-60 per plant for a medium-sized plant.

After plant shopping, we decided to swing by the newly opened Fab Cafe which was full so waited another 40 minute to sit by the lake and eat healthy food.
Food was yum, different for sure but amazing for being all healthy.
