In the wake of heightened security concerns following the recent blasts in Delhi, Akasa Air has issued a travel advisory urging passengers to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before their scheduled departure.
The airline said enhanced security measures have been implemented across all Indian airports, and passengers should plan accordingly to ensure a “seamless check-in and boarding experience.”
“As per regulatory guidelines, all passengers will be required to undergo secondary security checks prior to boarding,” Akasa Air said in its statement. It also reminded travellers that only one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 7 kg will be permitted in addition to their check-in luggage.

The airline encouraged flyers to complete their web check-in through its official website or mobile app to avoid delays at the terminal.
Airport authorities across major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, have stepped up surveillance and deployed additional personnel following the explosions in the national capital, which triggered a nationwide security alert.
Officials have advised passengers to cooperate with security agencies and carry valid government-issued photo identification for entry into airport premises.
