In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in Delhi, the first since the Rekha Gupta government was formed in February, several top bureaucrats of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre were transferred to other states by the home ministry on Friday.

Among those transferred was the additional chief secretary of the Finance and Revenue departments of the Delhi government, Ashish Chandra Verma, who was transferred to Jammu and Kashmir.

A 1995-batch IAS officer, Anil Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Environment and Forest, was also shifted to Jammu and Kashmir, while a 1999-batch IAS officer, Sudhir Kumar, Vigilance Department’s Principal Secretary, was transferred to Mizoram.

Also, Special Secretary of Home, KM Uppu of the 2009 batch, and Special Secretary of Transport, Sachin Shinde of the 2008 batch, were transferred to Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar, respectively.

Apart from this, 2005-batch officer Vijay Kumar Bhiduri, serving as divisional commissioner in J&K, has been called to Delhi. Likewise, 2000-batch officer Dilraj Kaur has also been asked to return to Delhi, where she earlier held various offices, after her transfer from Andaman and Nicobar.

Additionally, Chanchal Yadav (2008 batch), Vinod Kavle (2008 batch) and Navin SL (2012 batch) were also among the AGMUT cadre officers transferred from Delhi.

In all, 42 senior AGMUT and DANICS cadre officers were transferred by the Delhi government in an interdepartmental rejig.

Meanwhile, Navin Kumar Chaudhary of the 1994 batch, who was the Additional Chief Secretary of Irrigation and Flood Control and General Administration departments, has now been appointed as the new ACS of the Public Works Department.

Additional chief secretary (ACS) Industries, Bipul Pathak of the 1992 batch, has been given the additional charge of ACS Environment and Forest.

Nikhil Kumar of the 2002 batch will be the new health secretary and also hold the additional charge of IT secretary. Neeraj Semwal of the 2003 batch, awaiting posting, will hold the charge of secretary revenue-cum-divisional commissioner.
