Raising concerns over the growing refugee crisis in the wake of the Murshidabad unrest, the BJP took out a massive rally led by Union MoS and BJP Bengal chief Sukanta Majumdar in Balurghat. A scuffle broke out between the police and BJP workers, as per reports.
The rally was organised from Balurghat City to the District Magistrate’s Office, culminating in the submission of a deputation to the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) addressing multiple critical issues.
The demonstrators raised concerns over the refugee crisis, the widespread irregularities in the SSC recruitment scam and the injustice faced by over 26,000 deserving candidates who have been deprived of their jobs.
The rally witnessed the active participation of prominent political figures, including Tapan MLA Budhrai Tudu, Ghangarampur MLA Satyendranath Rai and BJP State President Sukanta Majumdar, who stood in solidarity with the people demanding immediate government intervention and justice.
