Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Chhattisgarh on November 1 to mark 25 years of the state’s formation. During his visit, he will take part in the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav and lay foundation stones for development projects worth over Rs 14,260 crore, covering sectors such as roads, industry, healthcare, and energy.
The Prime Minister’s visit will begin at 10 AM with the “Dil Ki Baat” programme at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, where he will meet 2,500 children who have undergone treatment for congenital heart diseases.
At 10:45 AM, he will inaugurate Brahma Kumaris’ “Shanti Shikhar”, a modern centre for spiritual learning, meditation, and peace.
Later, around 11:45 AM, PM Modi will unveil a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and inaugurate the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building in Nava Raipur.
The eco-friendly building has been designed as a green structure, powered entirely by solar energy and equipped with a rainwater harvesting system. The Prime Minister will also address the public at the venue.
Honouring Tribal Legacy
In the afternoon, around 1:30 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum, dedicated to the bravery and sacrifices of tribal communities. He will also launch the “Aadi Shaurya” e-book and museum portal and unveil a horse-mounted statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh.
Major Development Push
At 2:30 PM, the Prime Minister will attend the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav and launch a series of projects across key sectors. These include new startup village entrepreneurship programmes in nine districts, housing support for 3 lakh PMAY beneficiaries, and the foundation stone for a four-lane Greenfield Highway connecting Pathalgaon–Kunkuri to the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border under the Bharatmala project.
He will also inaugurate new power projects worth Rs 3,750 crore, including inter-regional grid connections to enhance power reliability, and new substations worth Rs 480 crore, benefiting over 15 lakh residents.
In the energy and industrial sectors, PM Modi will inaugurate HPCL’s new petroleum depot in Raipur, commission the Nagpur–Jharsuguda gas pipeline, and lay foundations for two smart industrial zones and a pharmaceutical park in Nava Raipur.
To strengthen healthcare, he will also lay the foundation for five new government medical colleges and an Ayurveda college in Bilaspur, expanding medical education and services across the state.
