Prasanna Kumar trained Ravishing Beauty (Antony up) won the Mysore 1000 Guineas (1,600m), the first classic event of the season held here on Friday (Sept 26).
The winner is owned by Mr. K. Kaliyaperumal, M/s. DT Racing & Breeding LLP, M/s. Sarainaga Racing Pvt Ltd & Mr. Meka Yugandhar.
Antony confidently kept his filly third or fourth for a while, then sixth position till the bend before manoeuvring his mount from outside in the home stretch. Ravishing Beauty responded well to the reminders and started galloping tremendously to pass the leader Miracle Star near 100m and won resolutely.
