Table-topper Anish D. Shetty (Bengaluru) and Navaneeth Kumar (Puducherry) delighted the fans with a top-notch show in the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup on the final day of the JK Tyre FMSCI Racing Championship at the Kari Motor Speedway circuit at Chettipalayam here on Sunday.
Anish started the day with a thrilling win over Navaneeth. Both the riders were locked in an intense battle right through the race. The lead kept changing hands with each passing lap but the former managed to pull it off at the end.
Navaneeth did likewise in the third race to take the chequered flag ahead of Anish.
Noida’s Dipayan Dutta, a guest driver on the list, to the surprise of many, finished on top in the third race of the JK Tyre Levitas Cup. The home crowd had something to cheer as Jai Prashanth Venkat wrested the second spot followed by Madurai’s Ashwin Pugalagiri. However, in the very next race, Jai held his nerve to seal the top spot on the podium.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru boys Bhuvan Bonu (MSport) and Abhijit Vadavalli (Momentum Motorsports) shared a race win each in the JK Tyre Novice Cup.
