IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, is further strengthening its international network from Mumbai with the launch of direct four-times-weekly flights to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, starting 1 September 2025, and to Almaty, Kazakhstan, from 2 September 2025.
The announcement follows the recent start of direct Mumbai–Tbilisi (Georgia) services on 2 August 2025, underscoring IndiGo’s strategy to position Mumbai as a major international hub. The airline already operates direct flights from Delhi to Tashkent, Almaty, and Tbilisi since 2023, and has recently commenced long-haul flights from Mumbai to Manchester and Amsterdam, marking its European debut.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, said: “Building on the successful operations from New Delhi to Tbilisi, Almaty, and Tashkent, we are pleased to now connect all these destinations with Mumbai. Recently, we have also commenced our long-haul flights from Mumbai to Manchester and Amsterdam, marking our entry into Europe. With these, IndiGo will further strengthen connectivity from the country’s financial capital to destinations within India, as well as across the globe. We hope that customers will enjoy flying to different parts of the world from Mumbai with India’s preferred airline.” With these additions, passengers will have greater flexibility for leisure, business, and cultural travel, supported by seamless booking.
